WHEN SHOULD THIS SERUM GO IN A ROUTINE? Hyaluronic Acid Serum should go after cleansing on clean, damp skin. Wait 30-60 seconds and then layer other treatments or serums.
WHY IS THIS A FIRST STEP AFTER CLEANSING? It absorbs more effectively on damp skin, that's why it's best to apply it as the first step after cleansing when skin is still damp. It also acts as a hydration veil before applying any products that could sensitize the skin. It allows any products applied after to absorb more effectively. Having moisture already on the skin allows your Hyaluronic Acid Serum to absorb better.
Hyaluronic Acid Serum can calm and soothe skin following cleansing (especially after cleansing in hard water areas), and balance the skin's pH levels.
WHY DO YOU RECOMMEND HYDRATING BEFORE USING A TONER? We suggest using your Hyaluronic Acid Serum before a toner (if you are using one) as it works beneath the surface, and can help your following products work better by acting as transport for them into the skin!
CAN HYALURONIC ACID BE USED WITH ALL OTHER PRODUCTS? Yes, Hyaluronic Acid Serum works alongside all other products. In fact, it can actually help products applied afterwards to work better. What products should I not layer together? >
IF THIS IS A HYDRATOR DO I NEED TO USE A MOISTURIZER? One of the most important factors for healthy, plump skin, is hydration. There is a difference between dry skin, which is a skin type and dehydrated skin, which is a skin condition. Hydrators, like Hyaluronic Acid, work to increase the water content of the skin and target dehydrated skin. Moisturizers are formulated to help seal moisture into the skin and target dry skin. How to tell if your skin is dehydrated >
WHO IS THIS BEST FOR? All skin types, including dry skin, dehydrated skin, fine lines and wrinkles. A drier skin type can benefit from Hyaluronic Acid Serum because it holds 1000 times its weight in water. Mature skin can benefit from Hyaluronic Acid Serum as it helps to plump the skin.
IS THIS AN AHA? Hyaluronic Acid Serum is not an exfoliant like AHAs (such as Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Glycolic Acid, Mandelic Acid, Apple Cider Vinegar or Lactic Acid), it hydrates your skin.
WHAT'S THE % OF THIS HYALURONIC ACID SERUM? 2% Multi molecular Hyaluronic Acid (Sodium hyaluronate).
WHAT TYPE OF HYALURONIC ACID IS THIS? Multi molecular Hyaluronic Acid. This means different weights will penetrate different layers of the skin - the purpose of using multiple molecular weights is to not only balance out and counteract the inflammatory effects often seen when using solely low molecular weight HA but to also provide hydration at each layer of skin including the surface.
WHAT IS THE PH LEVEL OF THIS PRODUCT? PH LEVEL: 6.21.
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS? Products can take up to six weeks to show full results, due to the time it takes for your skin cells to turnover and the results of any products to reach the surface. Consistency is key, so apply regularly even if you’re not seeing the effects straight away. It can be very tempting to increase use of some products to try and see quicker results, don't overdo it though. More is not necessarily more, and overuse can cause irritation and sensitivity.
IS THIS PRODUCT VEGAN? Yes! Hyaluronic Acid Serum contains no animal derivatives and is now certified by The Vegan Society.
IS THIS SAFE FOR THOSE WHO ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING? Yes! You can safely use it when pregnant or breastfeeding. Your guide to pregnancy safe skincare >
CAN I USE THIS WITH PRESCRIPTION MEDICATION? We would suggest you consult with your doctor to be sure.
